You will find a selection of up and coming walks, on this page. All of them are with the South Bank Walking group.  The South Bank Walking Group, are part of The Ramblers. I don’t attend all of these walks but aim to get on a couple a month.

My last walk in the Seaford area was a bit of a challenge! see my June Blog. Please note I will no longer be leading urban walks as a Meet Up Group. I don’t have the time to organise that right now.

  • OXTED CIRCULAR – SURREY

    Saturday, 3 August 2019 (Group: South Bank)

    Start time 10:35

    Strenuous 13 miles / 20.9 km

    Brisk pace. LImpsfield, High Chart, joining the Greensand Way to Westerham for lunch. Return via Hosey Hill, Chartwell, Crockham Hill, and Limpsfield Common.

    Lunch: Westerham – a choice of pubs, cafés, or picnic on the green/in the churchyard.

  • WITLEY CIRCULAR VIA HAMBLEDON – SURREY

    Sunday, 4 August 2019 (Group: South Bank)

    Start time 11:00

    Moderate 7 miles / 11.3 km

    Moderate paced walk in the Surrey Hills, starting at Witley station in the hamlet of Wormley and passing through farmland, pretty woods and heath, taking in part of the Greensand Way. Mostly undulating terrain.May be muddy in parts.

    Lunch: Picnic/pub – The White Hart in Witney village

  • FARNINGHAM ROAD TO OTFORD WITH DROP OUT POINTS (LINEAR) – KENT

    Wednesday, 7 August 2019 (Group: South Bank)

    Start time 10:20

    Moderate 9.5 miles / 15.3 km

    Moderate pace but mostly flat following the Darent Valley to Otford. Views of Eynsford Castle and viaduct and passing Lullingstone’s Roman villa and Castle. Drop out points at Eynsford after 5 miles and Shoreham after 7. (SWC 291)

    Lunch: Picnic/cafe at Lullingstone Visitors’ Centre

  • WEALDWAY 7 EAST HOATHLY TO BERWICK (LINEAR) – E.SUSSEX

    Saturday, 10 August 2019 (Group: South Bank)

    Start time 10:55

    Moderate 12 miles / 19.3 km

    The Wealdway is an 83 mile walking route that connects the Thames Estuary with the English Channel through the Weald of Kent and Sussex.
    We travel by bus from Uckfield to the start of the walk at E Hoathly.
    The route passes through pretty Sussex villages of Chiddingly, Hellingly, Upper Dicker and Arlington with impressive churches and follows the Cuckmere river. The South Downs beckon.
    Wealdway 8 will be on Sat 7 September.

    Lunch: Picnic
